Rhythm on the Canvas, Flavor in the Process

16x20 Acrylic - Gabriela Rios

J. Lee

Ingredients

  • A canvas of patience, stretched thin but strong

  • Splashes of bold color, unapologetic and alive

  • Sharp edges of scissors and blades, carving new paths

  • Soft fabric that carries stories when worn

  • Ink stains and paint smudges, proof of the process

  • A messy table that hums with possibility

  • One steady heartbeat that says….keep creating

Steps

  1. Begin with patience…it holds everything together.

  2. Add color until the silence feels loud and you can barely hear anything at all

  3. Cut, press, or paint until the design breathes on its own

  4. Let the mess spread, it is rhythm, it is movement, it is energy

  5. Wait 24 hours, then return see what the work has become overnight

  6. Share it with the world, knowing it carries a piece of you

Not perfect, not polished, but alive. An art practice built on patience and mess — bold enough to wear, strong enough to last, and open enough to invite others in.
